Waste Management
We separate our waste streams to ensure we recycle everything we can—coffee grounds included! Under Portuguese law (Decreto-Lei n.º 102-D/2020), we adhere to strict recycling protocols, including packaging, plastics, and organic waste.
- Reusable Options: Bring your own cup for a discount of 0.50c.
- Zero Waste Packaging: Our eat in and takeaway packaging is 100% recyclable or biodegradable.
Energy Efficiency
We keep the lights on (and the coffee machines running) with energy efficiency in mind, following Portugal's Decreto-Lei n.º 68-A/2015.
- LED Lighting: Illuminating spaces with minimal energy consumption.
- Efficient Equipment: Our coffee machines, fridges, and ovens are energy-rated to minimise consumption.
Sourcing
Where possible everything is local first. Our ingredients are sourced locally from Lisbon businesses and Portuguese farmers. We proudly serve craft beer from Dois Corvos.
Our specialty coffee beans come from independent coffee roasters with transparent practices.
Monitoring & Compliance
We keep a close eye on our sustainability impact through regular audits and compliance checks, ensuring we meet or exceed Portuguese legal standards. Our waste, water, and energy reports are available upon request—transparency is key.

In line with Portuguese water laws (Lei n.º 58/2005), we’re getting serious about saving water.

By cutting down on water use, we're doing our bit for the city of Lisbon, the specialty coffee industry and the environment in general. By reducing water consumption, we lessen our ecological footprint, benefiting both our community and clients.
